Hunter Oswalt

Director, Baldwin County

Hunter Oswalt has over 15 years of teaching experience and is a certified Class A Reading Specialist, PK-12. Hunter received a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Arts in Secondary Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning from the University of Alabama. She has earned several additional certifications in the field of dyslexia including: Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) from the Academic Language Therapy Association and Dyslexia Therapist from the International Dyslexia Association. Additional training includes a 60 hour graduate level course in the identification of dyslexia.

Before Read Write, Hunter taught middle school social studies and English. She also served as a Literacy Specialist with Teach for America in Houston, TX. She is a former member of the Alabama Branch of the International Dyslexia Association’s board of directors.

Hunter’s favorite thing about working at Read Write is helping parents understand their children better and create a plan for academic intervention and success in life!
