Hunter Oswalt, Managing Director

Hunter Oswalt has over 15 years of teaching experience and is a certified Class A Reading Specialist, PK-12. Hunter received a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Arts in Secondary Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning from the University of Alabama. She has earned several additional certifications in the field of dyslexia including: Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) from the Academic Language Therapy Association and Dyslexia Therapist from the International Dyslexia Association. Additional training includes a 60 hour graduate level course in the identification of dyslexia. Hunter is a member of Dyslexia Advisory Council for state of Alabama. Hunter’s favorite thing about working at Read Write is helping parents understand their children better and create a plan for academic intervention and success in life!


Mary Fuller, Instructional Lead

Mary Fuller has over 35 years of experience as a Speech and Language Pathologist. Prior to joining the Read Write team in 2014, she worked for Fulton County Schools in Atlanta where she was a member of the administrative team. She attended the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, where she received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education in Speech and Language Pathology. Mary holds Georgia Educator Certificates for S-5 Speech and Language Pathology and S-5 Teacher Support Specialist. She attended the Spotlight on Dyslexia Virtual Conference in 2015, the International Dyslexia Association Conference in 2016, and the Alabama Branch of the International Dyslexia Association Conference in 2018. Mary is a Certified Barton Tutor. She considers her professional specialty to be her knowledge of domains of language: “Understanding language components of reading skills and try to incorporate some of those into daily lessons, even in the smallest way.”

Kelly Wilson, Operations Lead

Kelly was a Read Write parent before joining the instructor team, and she's here because, as she says, "Read Write has changed my kiddo's life." Kelly has been an educator for 18 years. Upon completion of her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Samford University, she began her teaching career at Bruno Montessori in Birmingham, AL. She then taught English and science at Oak Mountain Middle School. During that time, she earned her Master's Degree in English as a Second Language. Her greatest joy as a teacher, however was getting to homeschool her own four children for 13 years. When she's not teaching or driving the "mom taxi" around town, she's planning the family's next travel adventure or clacking away at the computer, working on her latest freelance writing project.


Sue Bender

Sue has over 25 years of experience as a special education teacher. She has worked in Baldwin County Public Schools since 2006. She is a graduate of the University of South Alabama with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's of education in special education. She has experience teaching reading and math to students with learning disabilities. Her training includes Scholastic Next Steps Guided Reading and Barton Reading & Spelling System Tutor Training. Sue loves to help Read Write students develop confidence! Sue has a high school age daughter and loves to read and travel.

Briana Buttarazi

Briana has 6 years of experience in elementary education. Along with working at Read Write, Briana currently serves as a 2nd grade teacher. She graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelors in Communication degree. After graduation, Briana continued her education at the University of West Florida and received a teaching certificate through the Teacher Ready Program. She has a passion for helping all students reach their full potential. She enjoys encouraging students to overcome learning challenges. In her free time, Briana likes to spend time with friends, family and her big goofy Labrador Retriever, Murphy. 


Leigh Clark

Leigh is originally from Tallassee, Alabama and lives in Loxley, Alabama. Leigh taught in the Tallassee City Schools for 14 years and in Baldwin County Public Schools for 16 years. She is a certified teacher in grades 1-6. Leigh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Livingston University and a Masters in Elementary Education from Auburn University in Montgomery. Leigh is trained in S.P.I.R.E., Sounds Sensible, and Barton Reading & Spelling System Tutor Training. She has a son named Mason that attends Coastal College. Leigh enjoys riding horses, reading, boating and time spent with family and friends. She especially loves living close to the beach. Leigh loves teaching students to read and wants to make a difference in their lives. Leigh says, "Promoting positive self esteem and building on even the smallest success can be life changing for a child."

Peggy Close

Peggy has 28 years of experience teaching children in from pre-Kindergarten through 3rd grade. She received a Bachelors of Science degree from Troy State University in Elementary Education. She has attended various reading workshops over the years. She has completed the Barton Reading and Spelling System Tutor Training. Peggy recently relocated to Daphne from Montgomery, Alabama to be closer to 2 of her 3 children and her grandson. Peggy enjoyed teaching 5 year old Sunday School for over 30 years while living in Montgomery. In addition to her love of teaching, Peggy enjoys exercising, boating, playing tennis, and reading.


Brandi Corbett 

Brandi worked as an instructor in Baldwin County for over 25 years. She earned her master's degree in early childhood education from Springhill College. For the past 12 years, she has been a Kindergarten teacher. She was twice recognized as a local Teacher of the Year. She has been trained by The Alabama Reading Initiative (ARI). Her training also includes the Barton Reading and Spelling System Tutor Training. In her spare time, she loves being with family on the water.

Brittany Crawford

Brittany has 7 years of experience in elementary education. She she has taught 1st and 2nd grade in both private and public schools. She graduated from the University of South Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in elementary education with a reading certification. Brittany's training includes LETRS certification, Phonics First Level 1, and the Barton Reading & Spelling System Tutor Training. Outside of teaching, she loves spending time with her family. Life is busy and fun with a 2 and 4 year old!


Lyn Davison

Lyn Davison has over 30 years of teaching experience. Before joining the Read Write team, she taught third grade at Foley Elementary, second grade at J. Larry Newton School, and first grade at Fairhope K-1 Center. Lyn received a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Livingston University in 1985 and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Alabama in 1988. She has Class A Early Childhood Education certification and her training includes Barton Reading and Spelling Systems Tutor Training, Neuhaus Written Expression, Neuhaus Reading Readiness and Neuhaus Multisensory Grammar. She has attended the International Dyslexia Association Conference and the Handwriting Without Tears K-5 Handwriting Workshop. A life time resident of the Eastern Shore,Lyn loves living in Fairhope where she raises chickens and goats in her spare time!

Qyuston Eubanks

Qyuston is a certified teacher in the area of Collaborative Special Education for grades K-12th grade. She earned a Master's in Education from Grand Canyon University where she was on the Dean's Honor List. She has been working in education since 2017 and is currently a special education Project REACH teacher for Baldwin County Public Schools. She has completed trainings on dyslexia and the science of reading, in addition to Barton Reading and Spelling System Tutor Training. Qyuston loves working with students one on one and helping them learn to read! She enjoys Mexican food, traveling, and spending time with her 9 year old daughter.


Natalie Garcia

Natalie has over 25 years of experience in education as both a classroom teacher and an instructional coach. She has been a K-3 reading specialist for the past 7 years, but recently took a position to serve grades 4-6 as an instructional coach. She received a Bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Mobile and a Master's degree in education from Springhill College. Natalie's trainings include Phonics First, S.P.I.R.E., Sounds Sensible, LETRS Certification, training by the Alabama Reading Initiative (ARI), the Barton Reading and Spelling System Tutor Training, and various workshops on dyslexia and structured literacy. Her passion is fostering a love of reading in children and helping them develop the skills to become a confident reader. Natalie has a son who is her pride and joy. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and relaxing on the beach. 

Elizabeth Ladd

Elizabeth Ladd has 7 years teaching experience in special education and elementary education. Before joining Read Write, she was a special education resource teacher in Satsuma, AL for one year and taught Kindergarten for the past 6 years in Spanish Fort, AL. Elizabeth received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in the MAP Program (Multiple Abilities Program) from The University of Alabama. Elizabeth had completed training in the Barton Reading and Spelling System Tutor Training Program. She loves meeting the needs of every student she teaches. Elizabeth loves spending time with her family, boating, and traveling.


Sharon Lee

Sharon has 30 years of teaching experience in Blount, Mobile, and Jefferson Counties in Alabama. She has taught everything from 1st grade to 7th grade science. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Auburn University and Master of Arts in Education degree from the University of Alabama. Sharon's training includes Barton Reading & Spelling System Tutor Training and the Shelton School's Dyslexia & Related Disorders course. She has 2 adult sons who live in North Alabama. Sharon is active in her church, participating in the women's ministry, Sunday school and Bible study. She enjoys entertaining in her home, participating in a neighborhood Bible study, gardening, reading, and participating in exercise classes at Thomas Wellness Center. 

Magaline Marshall

Magaline primarily works with our students in the Atmore area. She has over 40 years of experience in education. She has taught 2nd and 4th grades and worked in administration of federal programs. She has held many leadership roles including serving on statewide advisory committees. She also has extensive experience as a one-on-one tutor, helping students master content and build self-confidence. Magaline is a graduate of Alabama State University where she earned both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in elementary education. Her training includes the Barton Reading & Spelling System Tutor Training. Magaline believes education was her calling because she loves working with children and believes all children can learn. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren and volunteering in her community and church.


Lee Ann McEwan

Lee Ann is a veteran educator with 13 years of experience. She currently teaches 4th grade. Lee Ann earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Child Development from California State University. She holds a Master Level Teacher Certification from the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS). In 2017, her school honored her by naming her Teacher of the Year. Her training includes the Barton Reading and Spelling System Tutor Training. She is a mother of 3 who enjoys spending time at the beach and pool and loving on her 2 dogs.

Cynthia Munger

Cynthia is a retired elementary school teacher. She taught in Mobile and Loxley, Alabama for over 20 years. She earned a Master's in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Alabama. She is a certified teacher for grades pre K-3rd. Cynthia's training includes 3 years of Reading Cadres training from Scholastic and Barton Reading & Spelling System Tutor Training. Reading is her favorite thing to teach! Cynthia says, "I believe reading is the key to a meaningful education and education is the key to a meaningful life." She and her husband, Roy, were foster parents for 5 years. She has 7 grandchildren and just loves kids!


Jennifer Nowell

Jennifer is a 1999 graduate of University of Alabama Birmingham, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. She has worked as an Occupational Therapist for over 23 years in both geriatrics and pediatrics. She has spent the last 5 years working in the school system with a concentration on fine motor skills and visual motor skills for handwriting and executive functioning skills. Jennifer loves working with all students but has a special interest in learning disabilities, autism, and ADHD. Her training includes Barton Reading and Spelling System Tutor Training. She is the mom of 2 boys and 1 girl between the ages of 13 and 20. She also has 3 dogs and a cat. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, reading books, and walking the local pier.

Kellye Sanders Rollin

Kellye is a graduate of Auburn University where she earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She served as a 1st grade teacher for over 15 years. In addition, she worked as a lead teacher in preschool setting. Kellye is passionate about reading instruction. She attended the Through the Lens of the Dyslexic Learner workshop in Birmingham, Alabama. Her training includes Barton Reading & Spelling System Tutor Training. In her spare time, Kellye enjoys cheering on Auburn tigers and visiting family. 


Linda Grant Rudicell

Originally from Illinois, Linda has called Daphne, Alabama home for many years. She earned both her bachelor's degree and master's degree from the University of South Alabama. She has taught middle school English Language Arts since 2008, and her speciality is writing composition instruction. She has experience supporting students with learning disabilities with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans. Her training includes Barton Reading and Spelling System Tutor Training. Linda loves to read, enjoys the theatre, and takes every opportunity to travel.

Sarah Seitz

Sarah has over 35 years of teaching experience. She earned both a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Art in Adolescent Reading. Before joining the Read Write, she taught kindergarten at Conecuh County Junior High, Delta Elementary, and J. Larry Newton School. Sarah is the 2010 Elementary Teacher of the Year for Baldwin County Public Schools. After retiring from Baldwin County Public Schools, she opened an Alabama First Class Pre-K at the Fairhope Point Clear Rotary Youth Club. She currently works as a K – 6 reading intervention teacher at Fairhope West. Sarah loves teaching children to read and finds joy in knowing that she plays a small part in their journey toward becoming better readers. She and her husband, David, enjoy traveling and visiting their adult son as often as possible. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys reading, playing the piano, sewing, canning, and raising chickens.


Marty Stringer

Marty has over 25 years of experience in education as a teacher and administrator. She earned her B.A. from The University of Mobile, her M.A. from the University of Alabama, and her Educational Leadership Certification from the University of South Alabama. She loves working with students at Read Write. She started with Read Write in 2017 but took a break for a few years to serve as an Assistant Principal in Baldwin County Public Schools. After retirement, she has come back to Read Write and loves to see the joy and pride in her students when they see their progress! Marty loves a good book, sunsets on Mobile Bay, the white beaches of the Gulf coast, and traveling anywhere with her husband, Joe. Marty and Joe have 2 grown children, and the best yellow lab, Lily Jane. When they aren’t on the beach, they are traveling to see their children pursue their dreams.
